Dr. David Feuer

Dr. David Feuer is a vascular surgeon and endovascular interventionalist who has nearly two and a half decades of experience in managing complex vascular disorders.

He received his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York. Subsequently, he completed his General Surgery residency and Vascular Surgery fellowship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

For nearly a decade, Dr. Feuer has provided state-of-the-art vascular surgery and minimally invasive endovascular care to patients in Pueblo, Colorado. Notably, he served as the Chairman of the Surgery Department in Pueblo for the past four years, and has had many leadership roles in his previous practice environments.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Feuer dedicated his earlier career to practicing vascular surgery in Wyoming, Utah, and Pennsylvania, and has also had a role as an educator of both residents and medical students.

Dr. Feuer’s expertise encompasses a wide range of complex vascular disorders, including challenging aortic conditions, carotid disease, and lower extremity vascular disease. He consistently employs state-of-the-art minimally invasive approaches whenever clinically indicated.

Throughout his career, Dr. Feuer has prioritized empathetic and patient-centered care, maintaining a lifelong commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in medical techniques to provide the highest quality care for his patients. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Feuer has actively engaged in research, surgical education, and practice and hospital administrative responsibilities.

Dr. Feuer’s family has a distinguished tradition of service. Both his father and grandfather served as civilian employees of the United States Navy following their military service. His father served in the National Guard during the Vietnam War, while his grandfather served in the Army during World War II.

Dr. Feuer is a devoted father of four, including triplets, one of whom is currently pursuing a surgical residency, continuing the family’s unwavering dedication to hard work and excellence. Although he is originally from New Jersey, he has developed a deep love and appreciation for the mountains, sunshine, and outdoor activities that Colorado Springs and Colorado offers.

Dr. Danielle C. Smith

Dr. Danielle C. Smith is a highly skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon with extensive experience in both open vascular surgical and minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

Dr. Smith completed her general surgery training at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii followed by vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine/Columbia University in New York, New York. 

An Army veteran, Dr. Smith brings a unique perspective to patient care, combining discipline and dedication honed through military service with a commitment to advancing vascular health.

With a focus on treating a wide range of vascular conditions, Dr. Smith specializes in providing comprehensive care and innovative solutions for patients facing challenging aortic conditions, addressing critical issues related to blood flow to the brain to ensure optimal treatment and management, and employing cutting-edge techniques to restore circulation and prevent limb loss in patients with advanced arterial disease.

Widely published in her field, Dr. Smith has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles in professional journals and book chapters.

Dr. Smith is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and is committed to staying at the forefront of advancements in vascular surgery. Through a combination of clinical expertise and a focus on individualized treatment plans, Dr. Smith strives to improve the quality of life for all patients.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Smith enjoys being a wife and mother, caring for her dogs, and admiring the abundant wildlife in the forests of the front range, while anticipating the first snow of each season in hopes of a good ski trip.

Dr. Christopher Kovach

Dr. Christopher Kovach is an interventional cardiologist and endovascular specialist with a focus on complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions.

He currently serves as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Penrose and St. Francis Hospitals and Director of the Vascular Imaging Program at Colorado Springs Cardiology.

He completed his medical training at Northwestern University, followed by fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of Colorado, interventional cardiology at the University of Washington, and peripheral vascular medicine and intervention at Brown University.

His expertise includes high-risk coronary intervention, peripheral arterial revascularization, carotid stenting, venous interventions, and use of intravascular imaging to improve outcomes, among others. Dr. Kovach is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, where he serves on the Vascular Disease Council.

He remains active in research and education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine.

Dr. Kovach enjoys hiking, skiing, travel, and cooking. He was raised in a military family throughout North America and Europe and is excited to raise his own family in Colorado Springs.
